Jimmy and I decided to get away last night. We had planned a date night but I got the crazy idea that it would be nice to spend the night in a hotel. I have always wanted to do that but he has either had to go to work too early or it was already so late it wasn't worth it. This time I decided to put all those thoughts behind me and go for it. So I booked us a king size suite at a brand new Hampton Inn and Suites. We went to dinner at a restaurant that we have heard folks talk about for some time now. I have to say, neither of us were impressed. Now, it wasn't the worst food but it wasn't the best either. We did a little shopping, of course, and headed back to the hotel to relax. We had a couch, a kitchenette and a nice comfy king size bed. Now I realize we didn't really need the kitchenette, or the couch, but I figured for $10 more it was worth the extra room. This morning we had breakfast at Cracker Barrell which was actually very good. CB is hubby's favorite place to eat, not mine but that egg sandwich on sourdough bread with mayo, tomato and bacon was devine!! So was the hash brown casserole.

We took our time getting back we were only about 45 minutes from home. We got back in town and headed to Travis' baseball game. They don't keep score but they played pretty good today. Travis didn't get any hits, though. He didn't practice this past week at home and when he doesn't practice it makes a big difference in his hitting. Once he got his Large shaved ice however, he was fine. Jimmy and the boys went swimming after lunch, then we went by DQ for a treat. It was extremely hot in GA today. A little yard work for the boys and daddy while mama made dinner and now we are winding down. I am going to go read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn or Shiloh to the boys. They haven't decided yet.

Tomorrow we will worship the Lord which is always such a wonderful way for our family to start our week and remember why we are here and what our purpose is- to get to heaven. I hope that everyone will make that their #1 priority in their lives. Have a wonderful week and remember: LIFE AND GOD IS GOOD!!!!
